Our Systems Today
25 years ago you were faced with the choice of staying analogue or going digital which was ISDN2 for SME’s or ISDN30 for corporate organisations. It was possible to get ISDN telephone handsets and ISDN2 extensions for your computer access. But these lines cost money It was not until the new millennium that the need to go digital was embraced by all businesses.
Today, we are faced with that decision again. We have already adopted digital voice, data and video in all aspects of our business. So what is out next step? The Internet.
In the past, you would have discussed what is the newer version of what you already have and what expansion you need. But today, we have to make provision for the migration planned by carriers to move you from ISDN to The Internet, unless you have already done so.
Despite the convenience of centralising your systems, you will still need to bring in external information. This is called Edge Computing

Edge Computing
All of the processes you have running in your office are now able to run on a server on the Internet. This is called ‘Coud Computing’ or ‘Cloud Communications’. The most popular is office 365, where your word processing and accounting and many other processes are contained in the cloud in a suite of programmes. This reduces your hardware costs and simplifies your network. However, there is another requirement that companies need. This is where the company may have to change its activities depending on occurrences such as market forces the weather and other external variables. This is called ‘Edge Computing’.
Edge computing allows you to collate information into your operating system in real-time. Information such as weather reports, as an example affects, sporting events, water companies and hospitality. These are at affected by these changes in weather in real-time. But when these are connected to your other telemetry systems, they can become invaluable.

By looking at how you currently operate, we can then listen to what you want and also make sure we let you know about what we think you need.
This highly complex process must be completely exhausted before we make a recommendation and a justification of our recommendations too. The Communications Audit leaves no stone unturned. It makes sure that we consider every detail of your new system and also look closely to how this integrates with your operation.
