Coming into Telecommunications from a sales background, Ted Beagley initially started selling Mobile Radio products, during the 80’s. The then government re-structured radio spectrum to catered for the imminent launch of a whole new suite of radio services, including what was then called ‘Cellular Radio’. This was also the time for ‘Citizens Band Radio’ and many more services, such as ‘Community Repeaters’ and later, 'Band 3 and Tetra.
Working on Mobile Data and Automated Vehicle Location Systems (AVLS over MPT1327/1343) as early as 1987 put Ted in the front of developments of these systems almost two decades before they became common place in all businesses.
Accreditations with Motorola, Tait, Philips/Pye, Storno and Key, illustrated his depth of industry knowledge. In 1997, Ted moved into ISDN digital Voice & Data platforms and attained accreditations with, Mitel, Aastra, NEC/Philips, Bosch and Avaya, offering Unified Communications over a digital-ISDN platform and specialised in rationalising company's resources such as Fax Lines and PDQ lines.
As an independent Communications Consultant, Ted has worked with, The Metropolitan Police, DEFRA, Logistics and Service/Repair, Internet and Social Media companies as well as several Central Government Agencies.

In 2004, Ted launched his own mobile software company; Chatterbox Software Ltd, for the hearing impaired and was runner-up in a show for the independent living and made it onto the BBC News website. In 2006 the company was sold to a Stockholm based organisation where Ted was then working.
